DAD MINI ALBUM

It's been awhile since I posted.  Christmas was awesome!  New Year's Eve is tomorrow night.  Can't believe it will be 2013 already.  I remember when we were all worried about the millenium but we survived it.

I'm trying to get motivated to create again.  I worked on Christmas gifts and items to sell on Etsy.com
but now that Christmas is over I can concentrate on other projects. 

The DAD album above is the first thing I made.  Picture doesn't show true colors because they are more vivid than they look.  Let me know what you think of it.  I love getting your comments.

FAMILY PHOTO FRAME

Wow, it's been a busy month.  I've joined Etsy.com and have an online store all my own.  I am creating and selling many items.  I've sold a "Thankful" banner (made with the MY CREATIONS chipboard and acrylic mini album set and the Olivia Paper Pack) to grace someones tabletop or mantle, the "BOO" banner made with the "Artiste" cartridge exclusive to CTMH, along with some other items.  Feedback was great!  I've also sold some of my scrapbook supplies (cleaned out my scraproom).  I added a 12 X 12" FAMILY PHOTO FRAME shadowbox, check it out below.

CTMH My Creations Bracket Chipboard Frame

This is the My Creations Bracket Chipboard Frame we are making at the SEPTEMBER 29TH WORKSHOP.  We will learn how to make three different flowers.  There are so many things you can do with this fun frame.  The back will be completed with a piece of cardboard covered with a coordinating piece of CTMH Clementine Paper.   I can't wait to receive my next one so I can create another one.  Go to my to my website kreationsbykathy.ctmh.com to see the AUTUMN/WINTER IDEABOOK to view the unfinished frame. 

LA BELLE VIE CTMH LAYOUT

This is the first layout I did with the La Belle Vie Paper Pack.  I love the beautiful colors in this Paper Pack.  I added a banner, tags, buttons, ribbon and other embellishments.  I did this layout for one of my Monthly Workshops. I plan on adding my granddaughter and her friends photos.  They put on a fashion show for me.   PRICELESS!!!

CTMH Dakota Layout

Here are two layouts I did with the new Dakota Paper pack.  The second one was done using a CTMH pattern from the "Make it From Your Heart" booklet but the first LO I used left over paper from the second layout and finished it in no time.  Love the colors in this pack and it goes so well for my teenage grandson's pics. Going to print and finish soon!!   The letters are Houndstooth Irresistibles and I made the handsome one blue and the guy one barn red.  I LOVE these letters!!!!  Let me know what you think!!!

NEW CTMH AUTUMN/WINTER Ideabook

I'm so excited!  I get my first order from the AUTUMN/WINTER Ideabook tomorrow and can't wait to start creating with my new supplies!!  Keep checking back to see the artwork!!!!!

NEW GRANDDAUGHTER

I'M BACK!!!!!!!

Wow, have I had a busy summer!  We welcomed a new granddaughter on June 3rd.  She is so beautiful!  I know, everyone says that of their grandbabies, but she truly is!!  I'm so proud of my daughter, she is a great first mommy!!!!!  Here's a picture of them both.

Florentine Customer Info/Recipe Box

I made this (customer info) box using the Florentine Paper Pack.  The top of the box as you can see that two of the flowers are made out of lace and the third flower is one of our paper flowers.

FLORENTINE Layout Minus Kassidi the DOG

This my second Florentine layout (minus Kassidi the dog).  I made the flowers out of lace and loved how they came out!  Don't know if my peeps are going to want to sew, but I'll make them.  Always trying to teach them new things.  On the BELL letters, I used the posterboard alphabet on one of the Florentine papers and then off stamped a flourish on them.

This is the first attempt to post my second Florentine layout.  I think my Kassidi Jo wanted to make sure to be part of the Bell family.  (her last name is Bell).

DOTTY FOR YOU BANNER LAYOUT

This is my layout for my third Workshop of April.  The picture isn't that good, looks better in person.  I wanted to show my customers how versatile this paper pack is so I made a layout that can be a birthday layout for boys, girls, males or females.  The stamp technique for this workshop is STAMPING OFF to get two shades of the same color.   LOVE THIS PAPER PACK!

ANOTHER CRUISIN' LAYOUT

I thought I would try to use up the rest of the paper pack, but I still have more!  I just used all the paper scraps as they were (no cutting) and love how it turned out!  Think I'll make a few cards with it!  My husband and I are going to visit our daughter when she has her baby (from NY to Michigan)  so this layout will be perfect for the ROAD TRIP!

I'M FINALLY MOTIVATED

Wow!  I'm finally motivated to do more layouts!  Four in one week is a record for me lately.  As soon as I get my scraproom organized I'm going to create, create, create!  My husband is tired of me cluttering up the dining room, can't blame him!

CRUISIN' LAYOUT 2

I wasn't thrilled with the Cruisin' Paper Pack when I purchased it but LOVE it now!  This layout is the same pattern as the one I did with the Dotty for You Paper Pack and I liked it so much I did something I've never done before.  I repeated it with this paper pack.   Let me know what you think!

Dotty for You Layout

I lifted the basic design for this layout from a fellow consultant but all the embellishments are my own.  Used Dotty for You Paper Pack (a special purchase only available from April 17th - May 31st from Close to My Heart).  Click on the shop now icon to see details.   I love the many colors in this pack that all coordinate with each other.  I used the "Art Philosophy"  Cricut cartridge (exclusive only to Close to My Heart)  to make the big scalloped circle and the big circle, also the butterflies.  The journaling is on a sliding tab to the left and is semi- hidden under the circle.

CRUISIN' LAYOUT

This is my second April Workshop of the Month layout. I ended up having two. I used the Cruisin' Paper Pack from Close to My Heart with the "Family Love" stampset.  I LOVE this stampset!!  Check it out by hitting the "Shop with Me" link.

FLORENTINE LAYOUT

This is a one page "Florentine" layout, made with cricut "Art Philoshophy" cartridge (ask me about purchasing this awesome 700 icon cartridge). The possibilities are endless with this cartridge. I used the "Family Love" stamp set for quotes.

A Beautiful Spring Day

I can't seem to be happy staying inside today.  It's so nice out!  Took mom shopping this morning.  Picked up Jordan from school ( he's my daycare guy and told me cuz he is 5 that I don't babysit him, I kidsit him.)  Love the sayings and thoughts that come out of his mouth. Fell in love with this little boy from day one!  I just realized that my life is not complete unless I have a child in it and he is filling the void!  Thanks to his mom, dad and nana for sharing him with me!  Sharing this pic of him.

RESCHEDULED CARD WORKSHOP

Well, I cancelled my card workshop.  Seems almost everyone wasn't available today.  I will pick a date to reschedule and post later!  Still need to take pics and post. 

My sister has a blog called "through my brown eyes" and I was thinking of one called "through my blurry brown eyes".  Just kidding but boy do I need to get a prescription pair cuz I've been using readers for years and they don't seem to be working as well.  I need to get motivated and get some price quotes because I refuse to pay too much. 

I keep looking out my front window.  There is a beautiful white flowering tree across the street.  I'm tempted to take a picture of it but afraid the neighbor may think I'm a Peeping Kathy.  Don't know the neighbor, LOL.

My niece is coming over to borrow the car to take to the prom.  My husband told me to tell her she could take it if her boyfriend could win an arm wrestling match with him.  She knew it was a joke, darn it!  Would have been fun to watch!

Hey everyone!  I can't seem to stay away from my new Blog!  I'm hoping once I get my scraproom organized that I can start KREATING much more artwork to post to my Blog.  Whenever my sister visits from PA I get motivated to get scrapping.  I finished my cards for my card workshop that is scheduled for this Saturday.  When I get them photographed, I will post.  Until then, have a great day!!!

Finally My Own Blog

I'm so excited, this is my first blog.  I was afraid to try to do one on my own (I'm a little computer illiterate) so my sister who's visiting helped me.  I will try to add something everyday.  I'm trying to stay on a positive note but am very sad that my nephew, his wife and two baby girls left yesterday to live in Illinois.  They've been such a big part of my life for the last year and a half and I miss them already.  I wish them well but can't wait to skype with them.  Please feel free to comment on any of my posts:)
